Getting Started

OpenTenders is a tender aggregation platform that collects tenders from various government and private sector sources across South Africa. We save you time by bringing all relevant tender opportunities to one place and sending you daily email alerts based on your preferences.

Signing up is easy! Click the "Get Started" button, choose a subscription plan, fill in your details (including company information), and complete the payment through PayFast. You'll have immediate access to all tenders and can set up your category alerts right away.

We aggregate tenders from multiple sources including the Government eTender Portal, provincial tender boards, municipal websites, state-owned enterprises, universities, and private companies. Our system is updated daily to ensure you receive the latest opportunities.

Subscriptions & Billing

We offer three subscription plans:
  • Monthly: R199/month - Best for trying out the service
  • Quarterly: R499/quarter (save 16%) - Our most popular option
  • Annual: R1,499/year (save 37%) - Best value for committed users
All plans include full access to all features, including unlimited tender views, 5 category alerts, and 5 saved searches.

All payments are processed securely through PayFast, South Africa's leading payment gateway. You can pay using credit/debit cards, instant EFT, or other methods supported by PayFast. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. When you cancel, you'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.

We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. However, if you experience technical issues that prevent you from using the service, please contact our support team and we'll work with you to find a solution.

Features & Alerts

You can set up to 5 category alerts. When new tenders are published in your selected categories, you'll receive a daily email digest with all matching tenders. You can manage your category alerts from your account dashboard.

Saved searches allow you to save specific search queries (keywords, filters) and receive alerts when new tenders match your criteria. You can save up to 5 searches and receive daily notifications for matches.

Email alerts are sent daily at 7:00 AM SAST. This gives you plenty of time to review new opportunities at the start of your business day. Alert emails contain summaries of all matching tenders from the past 24 hours.

Yes, where tender documents are publicly available, we provide direct links to download them. Some tender issuers require you to download documents from their own websites - we provide the relevant links in those cases.

Technical Support

First, check your spam/junk folder. Add noreply@opentenders.co.za to your contacts to ensure delivery. Also verify that you have set up category alerts in your account settings. If the problem persists, contact our support team.

Click the "Forgot Password" link on the login page, enter your email address, and we'll send you a password reset link. The link expires after 24 hours.
